Is there anything different you do to other photographers?
What is your photography style?
I believe that photography is a personality driven job. The photographer’s energy and presence will ultimately determine the resulting image. I am socially oriented photographer. I love talking to people during and after the shoots. I have found that having fun, being approachable and chatty generally gets good results for me. I like those natural, fun and candid shots where people are ultimately expressing their emotions naturally. And I endeavour to nurture an environment where that happens.
Good question – I have a photojournalistic style. I love capturing candid moments of the day – as it is. I don’t want to force too much and expect posing for the people present. I’d rather work with the energy of the day. Having said that, I really enjoy the creative side of things also. I work with natural light and it always thrills me to capture the magic of the day and work with the natural environment.

How do you like to run things on the day?
How long do we wait for photos ?
During peek season please allow 8 weeks for the delivery of your digital album. Other periods are 4-6 weeks. But I always communicate to my couples about expectations. You will receive a beautiful password protected digital gallery upon delivery to share with your family and friends. I am happy to discuss printing and album options with at anytime following delivery and usually endorse Queensberry Albums for best results.
I am very very fly on the wall for the first half of the day. I like people to get used to me being around. I always try to focus on the stories going on throughout the day – the kids, the grandparents, the fun candid moments of getting ready, mum and dad. You can’t fake those relationship dynamics. In the second part of the day I really need to take some control as we are keeping to a strict timeline. I want to make sure everyone is sitting down on time at dinner. That way you can enjoy your evening with family and friends.
